Wow .. what a great, but challenging week this was! We did a full 10 minute run! The kids were awesome and I think they’re beginning to see that the upcoming 5km run really is doable.
After the 10 minute run, we did some “suicides” (a.k.a. wind sprints) and a full circuit of steppers, burpees, crunches, push-up and a wall sits. I always look forward to the wall sit . until I get there and then the burn in my quads starts to kick in.
The pizza game is always a favourite of the kids and is a great way to tire them out before the Word of the Day, snack and the reading session.
Coach Jeremy taught us about compassion and helping our friends, family and community. Coach Lindsay gave us an incredible demonstration of her jump-roping skills. The kids were really inspired to see someone take their passion to amazing new levels.
